Coached by Chans Porter

With over 13 years of coaching experience and more than 10,000 hours on the floor, Coach Chans Porter brings a rare combination of expertise, precision, and passion to the TTRU Fitness team. As the Owner and Head Coach of CrossFit Unknown since 2012, Chans has built his career on helping athletes of every level reach their potential, from CrossFit Games competitors to members achieving their first ring muscle-up.

A CrossFit Level 3 Coach, Chans has continued to invest deeply in his craft, holding advanced certifications in CrossFit, Football, Mobility, Aerobic Capacity, Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Kettlebell, and the CrossFit Competitors Course. His foundation in education and movement is supported by an Associate’s Degree, but it’s his relentless pursuit of mastery through hands-on experience that sets him apart.

Like Coach Conway, Chans thrives in both worlds, developing high-level competitors while also guiding everyday athletes to break through barriers, refine their movement, and transform their lives through training. His coaching philosophy is built around precision, purpose, and long-term progress.

If you ask Chans what his favorite part of coaching is, he’ll tell you without hesitation, “Programming or breaking down someone else’s programming.” He’s a true student of the art and science behind training design and is passionate about helping athletes understand how intentional programming creates intentional outcomes.

Success Stories
★★★★★
“Adrian truly understands that each and every one of us are different athletes with different abilities and skill sets. He helps each athlete to understand their strengths and encourages them to dig into their weaknesses to improve them. What may look like a simple workout always turns into a nice slice of humble pie and leaves you on the ground after the time is up. Adrian’s programming is one of a kind and truly is an art.”

★★★★★
“I have tried several different other CrossFit boxes and gyms and I’ve always found myself going back to Adrian’s programming in some way, shape or form. Adrian knows how to push your limits to improve on multiple skills. Adrian has always stressed the importance of learning the movement and fully executing the movement with lighter weight before attempting heavy weight that wouldn’t build proper form."
Randy T.
★★★★★
"He not only helped me become a fitter human and learn new things, but he helped me to understand the reason why. It helped me as an athlete "buy in'' and completely trust him as a coach. Which gave me the ability to solely focus on myself and my effort."

"As a coach he truly helps me strive to be the best athlete I can be. I juggle being a nurse, wife, mom, and athlete every day. I would never be where I am today without Adrian as my coach."
